  • Loida Lewis made history in 1974 as the first Asian American woman to pass the New York State Bar without attending law school in the United States.
  • After the passing of her beloved husband, Reginald F. Lewis, the first African American entrepreneur to acquire a billion-dollar multi-national company, she became Chair and CEO of TLC Beatrice International Holdings Inc.
  • Loida is the chairwoman for the Reginald F. Lewis Foundation, which also supports the Reginald F. Lewis College of Business at Virginia State University.
  • Loida is the author of Why Should Guys Have All the Fun?.
